This practice heretofore harbored a very well kept secret concerning Dr. Devi Newcomb’s intriguing past.   Besides being a United States Air Force flight surgeon from July, 1997 until May, 2002, Dr. Newcomb was also a member of the NASA space shuttle medical support team for three shuttle missions.  Additionally in 1992 she was named a NASA Space Flight Awareness Award Honoree.   Talk about flying high!!!!

The Chapel Hill practice site opened originally at a downtown location in September 2005. To better provide for the needs of their patients, exactly two years later- September 2007-the practice relocated to the newly constructed, more accessible current facility at 4696 Nashville Hwy.

 In a recent communication received by Family Health Group Administration, an elderly patient’s son described Dr. Newcomb as “ compassionate, caring and supportive” and expressed his gratitude for her expediting the arrangements to get the patient the necessary care.
