On October 9, 2010, the Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure was held at Maryland Farms in Brentwood, TN.  Several staff members of Family Health Group at Dr. Doug Kennedy and Dr. Saritha Voncha Reddy’s office decided to participate in memory of their employee Sherry Mercer who lost her battle with breast cancer earlier this year.  Sherry was a nurse and friend, full of faith and spirit, who was loved by the staff and patients.  Dr. Saritha Voncha Reddy, Lori James, Zelma Evans and Gail Kincade decided to participate in the walk and prepared many weeks in advance by walking at Maury County Park.  Many monetary donations were collected in honor of Sherry.  The office hopes to continue this tradition of walking yearly to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness.
